페루 혁신경제교류 협력단이 지난달 28일 '한-페루 혁신 경제포럼'에 참석하기 위해 방한했다. 협력단은 최근 선출된 4개주 10명의 시장과 기업인으로 구성됐다.
알시데 쿠시우망 우카쿠시 친체로시 신임시장은 "신국제공항이 완공되면 쿠스코의 관광 일자리가 늘어 국가 경제활성화에 기여할 것"이라고 말했다. 다만 대규모 개발 공사로 인한 환경 파괴와 관련해 한국의 도시개발 전문가들의 조언을 요구하기도 했다.
또 지능형 교통 시스템(ITS) 전문기업 한길에이치씨를 방문한 사무엘 마르코 다사 타이페 리마주 안콘시장은 “한국의 교통시스템 제작 현장을 보고 놀랐다. 빨리 이런 시스템을 우리 시에 적용하고 싶다”라고 말하면서 강한 구매 의향을 내비쳤다.
유엔 조달 프로젝트 기구(UNOPS)와 함께 국제 박람회 및 포럼을 공동주최 하고 있는 STS&P 조직위는 이번 포럼을 계기로 매년 한국과 폐루를 오가면서 협력 사업을 전개할 것이며, 폐루를 시작으로 남미의 많은 나라와 혁신경제 포럼을 확대해 나갈 예정이다.
